The cottage is most suited to families and couples who want to enjoy the unique vibe of Dittisham and the beautiful riverside location in the knowledge that they are only minutes from Dartmouth itself and the beautiful South Hams area. We do not accept stag or hen parties and ask that all guests are respectful of their surroundings and our neighbours.

Quay Cottage is located located very close to open water. This can come right up to the wall outside the front of the property. Guests with young children should be mindful of this.

The property has steps inside - both leading up from the living room to the dining room and also from here into the kitchen. Whilst there is a single bedroom downstairs, this involves a two steps to access.

Both bathrooms are located upstairs therefore guests must be able to climb stairs. The main stairs in the cottage has open treads with horizontal bar across to prevent a small child sliding through.

There is no parking at the cottage, but the foreshore in front of the home can be driven onto and used for loading / unloading when the tide allows. There are 2 public car parks in Dittisham just a short walk away that allow overnight parking and day / week permits can be purchased. Guest should always be aware of the tide times and heights to avoid unwelcome damage to vehicles.

A flood guard is provided and this must be put in place securely behind the flood door whenever the cottage is left.

There is a log burner in the living room and guests are welcome to bring logs to use on it. All children should be supervised around the log burner.

The top bunk in the triple bunk room is over 7ft above the ground. It is not recommended for use by very young children. Bed guards are available.
