Kendricks Dartmouth



Casual bar and restaurant serving fresh, local seafood, char-grilled West Country steaks and ribs. 

Dartmouth is their first location (they have another restaurant in Stoke Fleming) and aims to be accessible to all - focusing on a menu that serves styles of food from around the globe with great wines and local draught beer and cider.

Cafe Alf Resco's



A little bit quirky and a little bit funky, Alf’s is popular with the local sailing fraternity as well as tourists. Live, Laugh and Love!

Serving ‘brilliant breakfasts’, ‘lovely lunches’ and ‘banging’ Barista coffee, Alf’s has got something for everyone, not to mention regular LIVE music at weekends.

Located right on the Quay, with uninterrupted  estuary views, the Embankment Bistro also offers spectacular alfresco dining on ‘La Terrace’ partnering with Bollinger Champagne house and an artisan takeaway café with hand roasted Devon based coffee, ice cream and cakes.

Rockfish



The original Rockfish seafood restaurant in Dartmouth opened in 2010 and is situated on the South Embankment overlooking the spectacular river Dart. Bring the family for freshly caught, sustainable local fish landed that day and cooked to order, while you enjoy views out over the water. 

The Angel Dartmouth



An elegant, fine dining restaurant that is dedicated to excellence in every perfectly prepared mouthful. Headed up by former 'Masterchef the Professionals' finalist. the restaurant has acquired prestigious awards and national acclaim including the revered Michelin Guide.

The Seahorse is an award-winning seafood restaurant, and is known for the warmth and spirit of its atmosphere – as well as its speciality: fresh, locally-caught seafood cooked over an open fire.

The Anchorstone Cafe



Right on the quayside in Dittisham, the highly acclaimed and popular Anchorstone Café is a beautiful place to enjoy delicious and exceptional local seafood, and is one of South Hams’ few true riverside cafés.

It operates seasonally and extremely popular, so early booking is recommended.

The Start Bay Inn



The Start Bay Inn is a beautiful 14 century thatched pub right next to the beach of Slapton Sands, Torcross just a short drive out of Dartmouth.


Famous for its fish & chips and seafood specialities, this family run business, uses fresh local produce, real & local ales and is in a perfect spot beside the sea.

The Oyster Shack, Bigbury



In a bright blue hut with covered terrace, the Oyster Shack is an award winning seafood, oyster and shellfish restaurant in rustic, cosy surrounds. Originally an oyster farm, oyster lovers used to come here to buy the fresh molluscs, bringing with them a packed lunch - crusty bread and a bottle of wine (or two).
